Reproducibility Handover Package
Make the next analyst’s first day easier.
Organize an existing analysis into a documented handover with code, data dictionaries, software information, and reproducibility checks.
Who this helps
For teams preparing to hand a project to another analyst, archive a completed analysis, or preserve work when a student or team member leaves.
What you receive
- Project inventory
- An account of available scripts, data versions, outputs, dependencies, permissions, and missing materials.
- Rerun and discrepancy review
- Attempted reproduction of the agreed outputs in an agreed environment, with failures and discrepancies documented.
- Handover documentation
- A README, execution order, software versions, and data dictionary or dictionary updates within the agreed scope.
- Delivery walkthrough
- A session explaining how to run the project and which dependencies or unresolved issues the receiving analyst must address.
Scope to agree before work starts
Reproduction does not establish that a design or analysis is scientifically valid. Independent methodological validation, major code rewriting, unavailable software licenses, and public data release require separate decisions. Files remain subject to institutional confidentiality and access rules.
Questions about this service
Will the package make our data public?
No. Publication or sharing of code and data requires a separate, authorized plan that respects consent, licenses, and institutional restrictions.
What if the analysis cannot be reproduced?
We document the blocking dependencies or discrepancies and propose a repair scope. We do not certify unreproduced results as reproducible.
