Hypothetical worked case
One reviewer extracts a fictional count from a randomized-arm column. Another
uses the complete-case column from the same table. The protocol specifies the
randomized population. Where its outcome is unavailable, mark the missingness
explicitly and document the alternative analysis.

Decision and follow-up
Resolve by the prespecified definition and cited location. Request
clarification when source ambiguity persists. Retain the two original
extractions so that the resolution can be independently reconstructed.
