Transform a mean, SD, variance and interval endpoints with an explicit linear unit conversion. All default values are fictional.
Calculation results
Converted mean: 68; SD: 3.6; variance: 12.96.
Ordered converted endpoints: 60.8 to 75.2
Assumptions and limits
For an exact common affine conversion y=a×x+b: mean becomes a×mean+b; SD becomes |a|×SD; variance becomes a²×variance. Endpoints are transformed and reordered for negative slopes. Inputs must be finite within ±10^12; SD nonnegative and slope nonzero. The offset does not change spread. Supply a scientifically justified conversion with matching dimensions; the tool cannot validate units. It does not apply to logarithms, reciprocals, nonlinear calibration, or uncertain conversion factors. Transforming endpoints preserves their original interpretation; it does not create a confidence interval.
