Assumptions and limits

Geometric mean = exp(mean(ln x)); geometric SD = exp(sample SD of ln x), using n−1. Geometric SD is a dimensionless multiplicative factor, not an additive SD, confidence interval or standard error. Requires 2–200 strictly positive values in the same units, each from 1e-100 to 1e100. No zero replacement or missing-value deletion. Lognormal interpretation requires a separate distribution check; this summary does not prove lognormality.
