Bound group risks and their difference by assigning every unresolved binary outcome in both directions. All default values are fictional.
Calculation results
Group 1 risk range: 0.2 to 0.3 (N=100)
Group 0 risk range: 0.1 to 0.3 (N=100)
Risk-difference bounds: -0.1 to 0.2
Observed-outcome-only risk difference: 0.0972222
Assumptions and limits
Each group total is observed+missing at one prespecified binary endpoint. Bounds assign missing outcomes to event/non-event extremes: group risk [events/total,(events+missing)/total]; group1−group0 bounds combine opposite extremes. Counts must be whole numbers with group totals 1–100 million. These are deterministic sensitivity bounds, not confidence intervals, imputation estimates or causal effects. They assume all unresolved outcomes are well-defined binary outcomes in the chosen population; death, competing events, censoring and different follow-up windows require explicit estimand decisions first.
