Research Rehearsal

Test your research plan before collecting data.

Use synthetic data and draft result tables to identify collection and analysis problems before the real study begins.

Who this helps

For teams with an agreed question and a draft protocol who want to pilot the analysis workflow before data collection.

What you receive

Synthetic practice dataset
A clearly labeled artificial dataset structured around the agreed variables and study design. It is for workflow testing and contains no real patient observations.
Draft result tables
Empty table shells showing the comparisons, denominators, units, and uncertainty measures your report will need.
Analysis dry run
A scoped rehearsal of planned transformations and analyses to identify missing variables, ambiguous coding, and implementation questions.
Decisions to resolve
A prioritized record of design and collection issues, with an agreed walkthrough of the findings.

Scope to agree before work starts

This is a workflow rehearsal, not evidence about treatment effects or a guarantee of study feasibility. Formal simulation studies, power assessment, and full analysis programming require an explicit scope. Synthetic output must never be reported as observed study results.

Questions about this service

Does synthetic data predict my results?

No. It tests the workflow using chosen artificial scenarios. It does not estimate what the real study will find.

Can we rehearse repeated visits or multiple sites?

Yes, where included in the quotation. The row structure, identifiers, and intended dependence structure need to be agreed first.
