Explain your findings

Understand Your Results Consultation

Be ready to explain what your results mean—and where they stop.

Reading a statistical output is different from explaining it to a supervisor, co-author, or examination committee. We work through your own results with you, connecting the estimates to the research question and the limitations of the design.

Who this helps

For students, clinicians, and researchers who already have statistical results and want to understand them. The session is tailored to your current knowledge, the analyses available, and the questions you need to answer.

What you receive

Focused preparation
Review of the agreed results and your priority questions before a consultation of the duration stated in the quotation.
Results walkthrough
Discussion of effect sizes, confidence intervals, p-values, model outputs, and assumptions as relevant to your study.
Interpretation in context
Explanation of uncertainty, clinical versus statistical relevance, and the limits of causal interpretation for your design.
Discussion preparation
Practice with likely methodological questions and a concise written summary of key explanations and unresolved issues.

Scope to agree before work starts

This is educational consultation. It does not certify the original analysis, replace independent validation, or include new analysis, thesis writing, or a defense on your behalf. Session duration, materials reviewed, and any follow-up are defined in the quotation.

Questions about this service

Do I need advanced statistical knowledge?

No. Tell us your current level and the parts you find difficult so the explanation can start in the right place.

Will you verify that my analysis is correct?

We can identify apparent concerns during discussion, but a formal verification requires a separate Results Validation engagement with the necessary methods, data, and code.

Can we use my own tables rather than textbook examples?

Yes. The consultation is built around the materials agreed in advance, after any confidential or identifying information has been removed.
