Fisher independent p-value combination

Combine independent p-values for an omnibus global-null assessment.

Your entries stay in this page’s memory and are not submitted to us. Downloads are generated locally. Reloading or leaving the page clears your entries. Do not enter patient information.

Enter 2–100 p-values strictly greater than zero and at most one. Reported zero p-values must be replaced with valid higher-precision values, not arbitrary tiny numbers.

The starting values are hypothetical. Results update as you edit. Use aggregate or synthetic inputs only.

How to interpret the output

Fisher statistic −2×sum(log p) has chi-square distribution with 2k degrees of freedom under independent continuous uniform-null p-values. Dependence and selective inclusion invalidate that reference. Combining p-values does not estimate an effect or establish consistent effect direction.
