Misclassification-adjusted prevalence

Apply sensitivity and specificity to an apparent prevalence estimate.

Your entries stay in this page’s memory and are not submitted to us. Downloads are generated locally. Reloading or leaving the page clears your entries. Do not enter patient information.

Use proportions from zero to one. Sensitivity plus specificity must exceed one. Accuracy estimates must apply to the population and measurement procedure.

The starting values are hypothetical. Results update as you edit. Use aggregate or synthetic inputs only.

How to interpret the output

Rogan–Gladen adjusted prevalence=(apparent prevalence+specificity−1)/(sensitivity+specificity−1). A result outside 0–1 signals incompatible inputs or estimation variability and is not silently clipped. This point calculation treats sensitivity and specificity as fixed and supplies no uncertainty interval.
