Stratified common odds ratio

Combine stratum cross-products using Mantel–Haenszel weighting.

Your entries stay in this page’s memory and are not submitted to us. Downloads are generated locally. Reloading or leaving the page clears your entries. Do not enter patient information.

Enter at least two disjoint strata. Each row is exposed cases, exposed noncases, unexposed cases, unexposed noncases. Zero cells are allowed if the combined denominator is positive. An odds ratio above 1 indicates higher case odds in the exposed group. Review stratum-specific associations separately; no heterogeneity test or interval is calculated.

The starting values are hypothetical. Results update as you edit. Use aggregate or synthetic inputs only.

How to interpret the output

Compute sum(a d/n) divided by sum(b c/n). Strata must be disjoint and substantively appropriate. Examine stratum-specific effects before interpreting a common association. This is an uncorrected point estimate without a confidence interval.
