Spearman paired rank correlation

Measure monotonic association using average ranks for ties.

Your entries stay in this page’s memory and are not submitted to us. Downloads are generated locally. Reloading or leaving the page clears your entries. Do not enter patient information.

Enter at least three complete independent pairs, up to 500. Missing values must be resolved before use. No p-value is supplied because small-sample and tied-rank inference needs a separate method.

The starting values are hypothetical. Results update as you edit. Use aggregate or synthetic inputs only.

How to interpret the output

Spearman rho is Pearson correlation of average ranks. It measures monotonic association, not agreement, causation or a slope. Ties reduce available rank information; a constant variable has undefined correlation.
